The volunteers provide social care to inpatients. They are trained by a leader who assesses their competence and passes on knowledge of establishing a helping relationship with patients and their families.
The Circolo San Pietro Volunteers Association, a member of the Italian Federation of Palliative Care, performs important voluntary activities in the Facility.
