Fondazione Sanità e Ricerca is located in Rome.

The five-floor building is approximately 2.200 square metres and contains three Palliative Care units and an Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis unit with two beds, a gymnasium for motor rehabilitation, outpatient areas.

 





Each palliative care ward has ten single rooms with en-suite bathrooms fitted with disability aids, electronically adjustable beds, individual lights, auto-diallers, wardrobe, telephone, television, air conditioning, minibar and a chair bed for guests. Patients and families may personalise their room with their own items and linens.

The wards have comfortable lounges where family and guests may spend time together.  Patients and their family may engage in the occupational activities organised in the small library with a piano located on the third floor.


The Alzheimer’s Day Centre located on the fourth floor comprises a lounge for group activities, a fully equipped physiotherapy area, a
Snoezelen (multi-sensorial stimulation) room and a large terrace for occupational activities and horticultural therapy.


The facility has an outdoor garden.
